The Role


Explore an opportunity.  As a Business Analyst you will serve a key role by serving as the link between consultants, external clients and our internal team of system developers. You will contribute to the implementation of new services by translating business needs into actionable programming and process steps for developers, practicing the fundamentals of systems analysis, design and testing. You will also consult to clients concerning implementation best practices, provide ongoing technical support, and train client teams. You will have the opportunity to develop your technical, analytical, problem solving, leadership, communication and consulting skills. Note that this role will involve some travel to client sites and other Willis Towers Watson offices.

Role may be based out of any TAS location. Preference is Pittsburgh, Mt. Laurel and Minneapolis.

  • Act as a principal contact with clients on day-to-day plan administration processing issues
  • Review and resolve calculation and eligibility errors with client as needed
  • Provide value added consulting to clients based on outsourcing implementation best practices
  • Assist with analyzing, defining and documenting project requirements and business processes
  • Create technical and functional user documentation
  • Assist with developing comprehensive test plans
  • Perform unit and comprehensive testing with system developers for overall functionality and technical quality of deliverables
  • Provide ongoing technical support to clients
  • Trouble shoot technical issues and problems, partnering with other Business Analysts
  • Train clients on use of systems
  • Define and update system tables as needed (relational database)
  • Ensure systems perform according to client approved specifications
  • Contribute to the development of new tools, processes and solutions to meet our clients’ outsourcing and broader human resources needs
  • Follow firm and line of business processes, protocols and quality standards in the development and deployment of solutions

  • Partner and communicate effectively in a team environment with consultants, developers and other team members
  • Participate in local, regional and national meetings as requested

     

    Clients
  • Responsible for resolving daily issues as raised by the client in a timely manner or escalating internally for effective resolution
  • Monitor progress against project plan and communicate status to lead business analyst, project manager, lead consultant or client, as appropriate
  • Manage client expectations and raise appropriate issues to lead business analyst, project managers and consultants
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with clients through effective communication and efficient, quality execution of projects
  • Attend client meetings as appropriate to present project specifications or report project status
  • Directly contribute to clients’ success through applying your technical expertise

     

    Financial
  • Meet Service Level Agreements across all clients
  • Meet revenue and billable hour goals as defined by your manager
  • Analyze process workflow and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness
  • Work within prescribed budget for project plans
