The Business

This role resides in our IT Management practice.  We are open to candidates who will reside in any of our WTW offices.

The Role

The Microsoft Enterprise Architect will be responsible for vision, strategy and architectural direction for the Infrastructure components of Microsoft Technology Domain including Active Directory, SCOM, SCCM, SCORCH, ADFS and Azure (O365, AAD, EMS). The Microsoft Enterprise Architect will also provide oversight for other Architectures such as Exchange, Skype for Business, and SharePoint.

They will be required to develop technology visions and strategies that support and enhance the business strategy, while ensuring WTW can exploit emerging technologies to reduce cost, increase efficiency or gain competitive advantage. The Microsoft Architect will create and maintain reference architectures and roadmaps for the associated technology domains.

The Microsoft Architect is expected to help support other Architecture roles such as networking, datacentre, storage, backup and security. A general knowledge of these technical domains is expected.
Major Accountabilities
Reference Architecture, Standards and High Level Designs for Microsoft Infrastructure solutions
Vision and Strategy for Microsoft Infrastructure solutions
Roadmaps for Microsoft Infrastructure solutions
Technical Subject Matter Expert on Azure infrastructure components 

Job Requirements

The Requirements

  • Deep Knowledge in Microsoft technologies including Active Directory (and related technologies), SCOM, SCCM, SCORCH, ADFS, AAD, EMS and O365
  • Ability to create Reference Architectures and standards for the Microsoft Technology stack in line with Business requirements and desired Business Outcomes
  • Ability to work with engineering and operations team to ensure detailed designs are in line with operational processes and Reference Architectures
  • Hands on experience in designing and maintaining solutions in Microsoft Azure including patching and identity management
  • Ability to present to executives and engineers
  • Ability to work collaborating as a team and independently with new and unique ideas
  • Ability to work across multiple business units globally and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
