The Role
The Private Client Group Personal Lines Producer works independently and with referral sources to identify and call upon affluent prospects in need of sophisticated personal insurance products and services. The candidate will be responsible for generation of new business from clients that are new to the organization and servicing and renewal of existing business of our high net worth clientele.

  • Identify prospects for personal insurance products and services from referral sources and existing clients
  • Participate and take leadership roles in targeted associations
  • Assist in preparation of  proposals and presentations using marketing resources, practice groups and other producers
  • Design individual prospect sales strategies and develop unique prospect programs with assistance
  • Maintain face-to-face and telephone contact with clients
  • Provide proactive risk management advice to current clients
  • Participate in stewardship meetings where appropriate
  • Support Client Management team in identifying and closing rounding opportunities
  • Identify and close potential cross-sell opportunities
  • Ensure client commitment and close of sale
  • Assist to ensure the proper advocacy of claims
  • Assist with resolution of client issues
  • Provide feedback to service team members
  • Monitor insurance needs and recommends appropriate coverage
  • Maintains insurance and client records

  • BS/BA degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or another relevant discipline required
  • Property & Casualty license required within 60 days of employment
  • Must demonstrate successful track record of persuading/influencing others within the private client industry ideally in an insurance brokerage or other financial services based organization
  • Technical knowledge of personal lines insurance products and the unique needs of Private Client/High Net Worth clientele required
  • Excellent communication (written, verbal and presentation), interpersonal, networking, relationship building, problem solving and decision making skills required
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment where lateral thinking, initiative, self-motivation and decision-making skills are crucial
  • Knowledge of principles and methods involved in selling services
  • Demonstrable track record of ability to sell and/or influence others
  • Solid computer proficiency and math skills for use in Excel required
