The Manager Research team assists in driving our clients’ decision making by sourcing the most appropriate ideas and ensuring we have the best solutions to implement them. We have one of the largest teams in the industry with over 100 researchers across the world’s major investment hubs following one global, integrated research process. Our expertise is built on a foundation of in-depth qualitative and quantitative analysis, combining a thorough understanding of each asset class with the ability to identify skilled investment managers.

The Role

We currently have a unique opening for a Quantitative Research Analyst in our Manager Research team. The main focus of the role is to support the Equity Research team with their quantitative and qualitative analysis of investment managers and investment strategies. You will create and review original data analysis, manage data collation processes, and oversee the production of regular reports and information management working closely with the broader analytics team. We expect this role to include, over time, the development of advanced data projects that will directly affect the manager research process and impact client portfolios. You will work closely with our global Manager Research team, liaising with colleagues across the main global financial hubs, and with our analytics and data team based in the Philippines.

Role objectives

  • Production and review of original research output, data collation and management

  • Oversight of data and analytics processes by our analytics and data team

  • Creation of and improvement of quantitative research tools

  • Ensure that production of quantitative and qualitative reports complies with quality standards (Professional Excellence and audit controls)

Job Requirements

The Requirements

  • You are proactive, comfortable working independently, able to show initiative when required and collaborate within a team environment

  • You are detail-orientated with a logical and analytical working method. You are able to clearly communicate your thought process and summarise key data findings

  • You are able to balance multiple priorities and deliver timely and accurate work, sometimes at short notice

  • You have foundational skills in programming languages such as R and an interest in developing these skills further

  • You have good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, and an interest in enhancing these skills

  • Minimum 2:1 Degree. Relevant Maths, or Economics degree preferred.
