Effective design, delivery, and execution of employee reward strategies and programs will lead to significant business value. We help build and implement leading-edge organization, job and reward framework solutions that create an engaging employee experience and deliver the right return on investment to the organization.

The Role

As a Rewards Consultant, you will work as part of a team to assist clients in their effort to attract, retain and manage their talent by developing and implementing compensation-related and broader solutions.   

Specific client engagements could include the following:

  • Broad-based market pricing

  • Salary structure development/program design

  • Incentive/bonus/recognition program design

  • Development of compensation administration policies/guidelines

  • Career framework development, including global job leveling and job architecture

  • Working closely with software colleagues to enhance sales of our Compensation Software and Compensation Planning Software

  • Partnering with Executive Compensation practice on total rewards strategy projects

  • Partnering with Communications colleagues on implementation of compensation changes

  • Partnering with Talent colleagues to develop integrated pay and performance programs

 

Performance Objectives:

Excellence

  • Design, develop and implement compensation strategies and programs (e.g. sales incentives, base pay, performance management) aimed at addressing clients’ business and people issues

  • Design compensation oriented interventions that may include, but are not limited to incentive plans, competitive analyses, survey development and administration, competency based pay, salary structure development, modeling of plan costs and incumbent impact, and plan communication/ roll-out

  • Maintain first-hand knowledge about all of our products and services and key competitors’ strengths, weaknesses and selling tactics

  • The work will include a wide range of projects that often require the integration of other HR related practice areas including communication, change management, organizational design, measurement, career paths and competency development

 

Clients/People

  • Establish collaborative relationships with clients to understand their business, identify additional ways to be of service, ensure timely exchange of information and ensure client satisfaction

  • Continually nurture and manage multiple client relationships

  • Solicit client feedback and generate opportunities to expand revenue

  • Leverage work to junior staff to deliver work in a cost effective manner

 

Finance

  • Assist with new business proposal development activities

  • Recognize opportunities to expand business and work through appropriate channels to do so

Job Requirements

The Requirements

  • 3 - 6 years design-oriented compensation experience, ideally in both consulting and corporate environments

  • Significant knowledge and understanding of Talent and Rewards programs and processes

  • Exceptional client relationship management skills

  • Strong analytical skills; the ability to synthesize data and develop insights

  • Ability to work independently as well as working collaboratively to assist others in generating a deal flow

  • Keen business acumen and proven ability to align clients’ business strategies and sales compensation programs

  • Self-starter who can thrive in a fast paced evolving business environment and operate fairly independently

  • Exceptional communication skills both written and oral

  • Availability to travel on an as needed basis

  • Bachelors Degree, MBA preferred, sales experience a plus

  • Some travel required
