The Role

Overview of the role:


Initially this is a 12 month contract role selling our new Pulse software licence to corporate WTW clients and prospects of all sizes who are interested in buying standalone SaaS solutions without advisory services. 

The Pulse software licence gives access to software for companies to build and deploy employee surveys using the latest technology and thinking.  The software also allows companies to produce specific analysis and reporting tailored to their needs.

The role will involve making contact by phone and email to arrange face to face meetings with senior HR buyers in order to demonstrate the power, benefits and value of the new global WTW Pulse software.  The aim will be to encourage clients to sign up ideally for a 2 year period.

The successful candidate will be responsible individually for contacting, presenting and signing up clients.   There will be no ongoing client management required once the sale has concluded. Focus and measures will be around high levels of activity and client/prospect contact [as well as achieving predefined sales goals].  This sales role and activity will be supplemented by both global and local marketing which will also provide some leads. 


Performance Objectives:

In a full 12 month period the goal for the successful candidate would be sales revenue in the range of £900k.  The average deal size will be c £20k pa which therefore results in approximately 4 deals a month.

All activity and wins will need to be recorded and maintained on the WTW CRM system. 

All successful sales will require effective handover to the implementation team.

It is important that certain activities such as all client contact is recorded and communicated to the client relationship managers.  We will agree  protocols in advance..

Job Requirements

The Requirements

Proven track record in sales to corporate buyers is required -  software sales experience will be an advantage although not essential

The successful candidate will have

  • Demonstrated success understanding business objectives and exceeding goals.
  • Been client focused and highly responsive.
  • Persuasive verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working in fast-paced, disciplined, process-driven, sales and/or marketing environment
  • An entrepreneurial mind-set and be a self-starter
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills with minimal supervision
  • Experience in effectively using digital and social channels for lead generation
  • Working knowledge of a CRM system to facilitate lead qualification and advancement of sales cycle
