Overview of Position:

This position would suit someone who not only has a background in a Health & Benefits Consulting

and Brokerage environment, but who also has an entrepreneurial streak. This successful applicant for

this role will be responsible for establishing the line of business within Lebanon and for driving its

profitable growth.

Specifically the successful applicant will be responsible for establishing relationships both internally

and externally in order to develop and deliver on new business.

Role objectives:


• Effectively manage major projects to ensure that the service delivered lives up to Willis

Towers Watson’s standards for excellence and that projects progress as planned against

established budget, timeline and quality standards

• Serve as senior Health Consulting strategist on projects, ensuring that HC strategy fits within

overall benefits strategy

• Perform technical review of work products, and processes, to ensure they are efficiently

delivering the required outputs in a compliant setting.

• Contribute to the development of new Health Consulting tools and approaches

• Add to the intellectual capital of the specialty area through new ideas, research, or innovative

client work

• Build senior level relationships with carriers, TPA’s, regulators and other key stakeholders.

Leverage relationships to maximise growth opportunities and leverage knowledge on clients’



§ Oversees overall talent pool pipeline within Country: Develop and execute on strategic

staffing plans, including all people processes (recruiting, deployment, performance

management, development and engagement)

§ Member of H&B Region Leadership Team: Works with H&B Region Leader, Head of

Operations and PE, Head of Markets and Solutions, and other H&B Country Leaders to

achieve H&B business plan including financial targets, effective staff management and

utilization of Intellectual Capital (IC)

§ Member of Country Leadership Team: Works with Country Head and other LOB Country

Heads to execute Country business plan, with a focus on H&B priorities and initiatives, as well

as cross-LOB perspectives

§ Develop and leverage relationships with associates at all levels both within the region and

globally to ensure that the right people are put on the right projects

§ Manage virtual teams of associates that work effectively together in order to deliver projects

as planned

§ Develop the skills of other associates through coaching and mentoring

§ Build, over time, a team of consultants with the skills, abilities and drive to provide leading

edge international compensation and benefits consulting services to our clients

§ Collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams


• Client relationship management and delivery: Responsible for all aspects of delivery of WTW

products and services for the LOB within the country. Develops client strategies to deepen,

broaden and build profitable relationships including penetration of other LOB services on

existing H&B clients

• Manages Country H&B pipeline and sales opportunities working closely with Client

Relationship Directors, Country Head and Senior Consultants

• Responsible for the local support of H&B global and regional sales opportunities

• Oversees H&B marketing efforts in Country: Primary accountability for leading and executing

a business strategy to introduce new clients to the company and expand relationships with

current clients in order to meet annual revenue goals

• Lead and manage large and multiple Health & Benefits consulting client engagements

• Establish a trusted advisor role with clients and provide consistent, superior relationship


• Oversee H&B team in the delivery and development of value added services in a compliant


• Finalize and present quality deliverables to clients


§ Develop a business plan to drive the Health & Benefits business within Lebanon and create a

platform for profitable growth.

§ Primary focus on H&B Country P&L i.e. revenue growth, direct H&B cost management, and


§ Works with Senior Consultants, Country Head, other LOB Country Heads and Client

Relationship Directors to drive overall Country growth and profitability

§ Build relationships with internal and external sources to maximize the penetration of key

target accounts

§ Identify opportunities to cross-sell new products and services

Job Requirements

The Requirements

Significant experience and success in the design/management of health and benefits plans

gained in a consulting or brokerage environment; or prior management business leadership

experience in a carrier or TPA environment – ideally able to demonstrate thorough

understanding of both workforce healthcare and insurance related topics

§ Proven ability to generate revenue

§ Track record of success in managing large client relationships and leading teams

§ Experience in managing multiple people and projects and producing quality deliverables on

time and within budget

§ Proven ability to recognize and diagnose issues, work in teams, and leverage the resources

of other related practices to address client challenges

§ An executive presence with polished and well developed written and oral communication


§ Superior ability to influence and collaborate with senior management and work across all

levels of an organization

§ Interest and aptitude in keeping abreast of latest developments in H&B plan strategy and

contributing to the development of new tools and approaches

§ Expertise in Arabic, English and French languages (Both written and verbal)

§ Capabilities in English and Arabic are required

§ Graduate degree is required; advanced degree preferred
