The Role

As a Senior Rewards Consultant in our office in Paris, you will work as part of a team of Reward, Talent Management and Communication consultants to assist clients in their effort to attract, retain, motivate and manage their talent by developing and implementing complex and strategic compensation solutions.   

Our projects can be broad in nature (e.g., total rewards strategy and  optimization, integration of reward and talent management programs, and improved organization performance) or more narrow (e.g., base pay program design, incentive design, pay-level benchmarking, goal-setting methodology development, global leveling, career management program design, support for M&A, pay for performance program design, custom surveys).


Performance Objectives: 

Financial

  • Primary accountability for creating and executing a business strategy to penetrate the local and regional market and introduce new clients to the firm in order to meet annual revenue goals

    • Identify opportunities to expand our relationship with existing clients

    • Build long lasting client relationships and bring additional clients to the firm

    • Build relationships with internal and external sources to maximize ways to help our clients 

Clients

  • Lead talent and rewards engagements:

    • Develop leveraged teams that work together effectively

    • Develop project plans and lead the execution of large global engagements

    • Ensure project managers are progressing against established budget, timeline and quality standards (while you have overall responsibility, consultant level staff typically serve as day to day project managers)

  • Establish a trusted advisor role with clients and provide consistent, superior relationship management

  • Oversee multiple and complex engagements ensuring that projects are completed on a timely and profitable basis

  • Finalize and present quality deliverables to the client

  • Serve as the senior talent and rewards leader on projects, ensuring that rewards strategy aligns with overall human capital strategy and with the client’s business strategy

People

  • Demonstrate leadership ability by effectively mentoring other consultants

  • Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively

Business Development

  • Assist with new business development activities, including proposal development and delivery

  • Recognize opportunities to expand business and work through appropriate channels to do so

  • Develop and execute business development and marketing plan

    Excellence

  • Design, develop and implement compensation strategies and programs (e.g. base pay, annual incentives, performance management) aimed at addressing clients’ business and people issues

  • Design compensation oriented interventions that may include, but are not limited to incentive plans, competitive analyses, survey development and administration, competency based pay, salary structure development, modeling of plan costs and incumbent impact, and plan communication/ roll-out

  • Maintain first-hand knowledge about all of our products and services and key competitors’ strengths, weaknesses and selling tactics

  • The work will include a wide range of projects that often require the integration of other HR related practice areas including communication, change management, organizational design, measurement, career paths and competency development

  • Maintain high levels of professional excellence

Job Requirements

The Requirements

  • Solid design-oriented compensation experience in a consulting environment (additional corporate experience is a plus)

  • Significant knowledge and understanding of reward and talent programs and processes

  • Exceptional client relationship management skills

  • Strong analytical skills; the ability to synthesize data and develop insights

  • Ability to work independently as well as working collaboratively to introduce new value added services internally and to clients

  • Keen business acumen and proven ability to align clients’ business strategies and rewards/talent programs

  • Ability to influence senior management and work across all levels of an organization

  • Exceptional communication skills both written and oral in French and English

  • In-depth expertise and professional network within a major industry/client segment also a plus

  • University Degree; an MBA or related advanced degree is desirable
